  • Looking for a COVID-19 Test?

Patients who have a primary care provider at South Shore Medical Center and are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should contact their provider to schedule a visit.

South Shore Medical Center patients who are not experiencing symptoms or who require tests for travel, work, or school-related reasons should schedule appointments to be tested at Health Express urgent care centers.

Health Express offers both send-out PCR tests, which provide results via a secure portal within an estimated 72 hours, and a limited number of rapid tests –typically reserved for patients who have COVID-19 symptoms – which provide results in 15 minutes.
  • COVID-19 Vaccinations

The rollout of COVID-19 vaccines continues in Massachusetts, with the state currently in Phase 1 of its distribution plan.

South Shore Health is following the phased approach put in place by the state Department of Public Health and is planning to offer vaccines to patients and the community when eligible.

Rest assured that we are keeping a close eye on state and federal guidelines and will update our patients and the South Shore community on a regular basis through a variety of channels, including the South Shore Health website.

Please note that we are not currently making appointments for COVID-19 vaccines or creating a waiting list for future vaccinations.

We ask that you please refrain from calling for information about COVID-19 vaccines so that we may keep our lines open and better serve all patient inquiries.
